We do offer discounts and waive travel fees for bucketlist locations in and out of Utah!
Utah County
Big Springs
Provo Canyon
Big Springs is one of our favorite photo locations in UT County! If you love open meadows, soft lighting, and mountain views, Big Springs is for you! This location requires a short hike, that usually takes around 5-10 mins.
It is accessible year-round and typically less crowded than many other photo locations in the area. Lighting is best in the evening, or EARLY morning.
Josh and I hike here pretty often throughout the year. The area also has a creek and more mountain views, if you’re up for going on more of a hike for your photos.
Stewart Falls Trailhead
Above Sundance Ski Resort
The view of Mount Timpanogos is unmatched at Stewart Falls Trailhead. We love driving up and enjoy the plentiful aspen and pine trees.
It is accessible mostly year-round and typically less crowded is the spring. It can get very crowded on weekends in the summer, fall, and winter. The location is right off the parking lot, no hiking required, but there is a slope, and rougher terrain.
We recommend scheduling a weekday morning or evening photoshoot to beat the crowds. Because of the higher elevation, the snow usually isn't melted until late May/June.
Tibble Fork
American Fork Canyon
There’s a reason this reservoir is so popular! Beautiful mountain views, blue-green water, open meadows, various foliage, this location has it all!
This is our most requested location, and we love visiting Tibble Fork year-round. There is no hiking required, but terrian can be steep in some spots, we often walk around the water to get different backgrounds.
During busy season (summer, fall) this location can get crowded, and it can be difficult to get a parking spot. We recommend booking on a weekday, and arriving early to ensure a parking spot.
Mount Timpanogos Park
Provo Canyon
This location is easy to get to as it is located right at the mouth of Provo Canyon. The park has Provo River running through it and a wide variety of foliage planted for different backgrounds.
It is open year-round, and the sidewalks are paved and flat. I always recommend this spot in the Spring because it is the first to turn green and has a ton of blossoms and flowers.
When the weather gets warmer and on weekends, this location can get a little crowded, but mostly with hikers and bikers, not other photographers.
Timpooneke Trailhead
American Fork Canyon
If you want a less-crowded spot in American Fork Canyon, I highly recommend the Timpooneke Trailhead. It has gorgeous mountain views and a beautiful meadow and creek running through it.
It is open during the warmer months May-October. There are lots of pine and aspen trees. There are even some wildflowers during certain parts of the year.
Utah Lake
Vineyard
Utah Lake is a good place to visit year-round. It has tall grass, and expansive water views.
During winter months, the lake can freeze over and form giant ice sheets that make for fun winter photos!
It doesn’t often get crowded with other photographers and there is a paved walking trail along the lake shore.
Khyv Peak (Lower)
Provo Canyon
This location is near the mouth of Provo Canyon. It is open meadows with a nice view of Mount Timpanogoes and an overlook of Utah Valley.
It is open most of the year, and there are yellow wildflowers that start to blossom in May and June.
When the weather gets warmer and on weekends, this location can get a little bit crowded.
Khyv Peak (Upper)
Provo Canyon
While this is one of my favorite locations in all of Utah County, it is not easy to get to. It is from Provo Canyon it is another 20-30 mins on a rough dirt road up to it.
Because it is harder to get to - it is typically less crowded from other people and photographers. It has beautiful mountain views, an open meadow, pretty wood fence, and a patch of aspen trees. If you explore the area more you can find patches of wildflowers and a view of Utah County.
It is open only during the warm months.
Springville Art Museum
Springville, Utah
I love visiting the Springville Art Museum! It is beautiful and constantly changing with new exhibits on the inside. The outside is stunning with well-kept landscaping and amazing architecture. There are so many great backgrounds for photographs.
Before visiting, we must get permission from the art museum and make sure it’s open on the day we want to shoot. Extra fee may be required. Typically not crowded.

Silver Lake
Brighton - Big Cottonwood Canyon
Silver lake is accessible year-round! It is gorgeous during all seasons. In the winter the lake freezes and gets covered in snow. In the summer and fall there are a lot of wildlife viewing opportunities. It is located right next to Brighton Ski Resort, and has a nice boarded path around the lake.
There are no pets allowed, and you must stay in designated areas or else you could get a ticket from a park ranger.
Typically isn’t too crowded.
Jordan Pines
Big Cottonwood Canyon
Jordan Pines is accessible year-round and beautiful in all seasons. It has a small creek running through it and lots of pine trees and mountain views.
There is an easy trail right off the parking lot.
This location is popular in the summer, fall, and winter for photos. It’s best to visit on a weekday or early morning. Because of the higher elevation, the snow usually isn't melted until late May/June.
Capitol Building
Salt Lake City
The Capitol Building is a great place to visit in the heart of SLC! It is free to use, and can sometimes get crowded during certain times of the year.
We can utilize both inside and outside of the building. We do need to be aware of any events that may close the building to the public, or protest that make taking photos more difficult.
This location is very popular End of April/Beginning of May when the cherry blossoms bloom.
Memory Grove
Salt Lake City
Memory Grove is right next to the Capitol Building in SLC! I will often take clients to both memory grove and the Capitol Building! It is free to use, and can sometimes get crowded during certain times of the year.
There is a variety of architecture pieces including bridges, stairs, rock walls, stone paths, pavilions. There is also a small river and pond that runs through the park.
Albion Basin
Little Cottonwood Canyon
Albion Basin is an extremely popular location in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
Due to its popularity with photographers, they have started charging cars to get up to the site. So there is a sight fee and many areas are roped off. I have waited 30+ mins in line to get to this area.
That said - it is beautiful and fills with wildflowers in the summer. It is only accessible part of the year. Late June-October. Happy to photoshop out a few people and barrier lines to shoot at this location. :)
Little Cottonwood Trailhead
Little Cottonwood Canyon
I love this little trail in Little Cottonwood Canyon! It feels like a secret spot, but it’s not very far up the canyon.
This spot is FILLED with tall pine trees, and a gushing river running through it. There are beautiful views of the mountains, peaking through the trees. The walk isn’t very long, but it can be a little steep in some places. If you’re wearing heels, a change of shoes is recommended!
Butterfield Canyon
Oquirrh Mountains
I have only been here a few times in the fall. It can get a little bit crowded, but not too bad.
There is a big open field, a bridge, and a lot of scrub oak. There are lots of trails for exploring and has really nice lighting due to it's location.

It is accessible year-round and easy to get to.
Temple Square/City Creek
Downtown SLC
Want to take a stroll around the city? We like to visit city creek, and walk around temple square, and end our session over at the conference center!

There’s tons of spots to take photos, with lots of different backgrounds/textures to take advantage of. Up on the conference center there are a few trees and gardens.
Sometimes this location can get packed, other times is really quiet depending on events going on nearby.

Davis County
Tunnel Springs
North Salt Lake / Bountiful

Tunnel Springs is the most popular photos spot in Davis County. It is popular for it's tall grasses, and pretty open fields.
Due to high traffic, I will not shoot here on a Saturday. Weekdays and mornings are the best time to visit Tunnel Springs. The lighting is also harsh on clear days, so the best time to take photos is sunset or sunrise.
It is accessible year-round. It the grasses turn really green in the spring and turns yellow in the fall. There is a wooden fence and only a couple trees.
Mueller Park
Bountiful
Mueller Park is filled with pine, aspen, and scrub oak trees. It seems like every time we visit, we find a cool new spot to take photos. There is a creek and a couple bridges in the area.

Usually Mueller Park isn't crowded, however occasionally there are events or meetups in the spring and summer that make parking and shooting more difficult.
It is open for photos year-round, and a few slopes to walk to to get to certain spots. Because it is very shaded, we can shoot here more during the day.
