Salt Flats

The Great Salt Lake

The Salt Flats are always a good idea! We love the simple landscape it gives.

It's about a 2 hour drive from Salt Lake City. During different times of year the location will either be dry or flooded. (both make for cool photos) Be prepared for shoes to get salt or water on them.

Note Before You Go

Because there is no shade - the time of day we go is very important for lighting. Early morning or evening is ideal.
